Maryland Recreational Water Quality Testing
Families in the Chesapeake Bay area know the pleasures of getting to swim in the Chesapeake Bay and other Maryland creeks, rivers and ponds. But how can you tell if the water near the Chesapeake Bay is clean enough to swim in?

Water testing is done on individual beaches from Memorial Day through Labor Day. To learn the results of beach water testing by county go to the following websites:

Not all counties update their websites with the results of water testing or have the information readily available for the public. Other groups have stepped in to provide you with beach water quality results.
